I'm finally caught up on client sessions (!) so before the busy fall season begins, I wanted to share some more personal images from the very first time my boys went to the beach, primarily because I want to do a beach session so badly before summer ends so I'm putting it out into the universe, but also because these guys are just so adorable it feels selfish not to share ;) Oh, and also - I GOT IN THE FRAME!
Seriously though, if you follow me on Instagram (and if you don't, what are you waiting for?!), you know that last year I started a personal 365 project that was focused on a year of documenting the two adorable reasons I started my photography journey in the first place. Like most mamas, I've always been obsessed with taking pictures of my kids, but with this project, I really wanted to focus on documenting our everyday and giving them a tangible reminder of the beautiful mess that is childhood and providing visible evidence of a life well-lived and well-loved. The chaos/tantrums/happiness/adventures/complete ordinary-ness. Some days we spend the morning frolicking on a beautiful beach. Some days we don't get out of our (mismatched) pajamas and we watch too much TV. It's not always picture perfect, but it's ours. Our real life, our everyday, our legacy and that is perfect and significant and worthy of documenting.
So, with that being said, what do you want your legacy to be? Pick up your camera and make it happen. Or call me and I'll do it for you...especially if it involves a beach ;)
